Virus help?My home computer has not got a virus that will not let me onto the internet how do i get rid of it?

My parents home computer now has a virus that will not let acess to the internet.We had norton antivrus which lasted till around may time so virus software will not have been updated since then.Is there anyway i can get rid of this virus.do i need to buy norton antivrus or put the computer back to when we first got it?

1 How do you know it is a virus, and what virus is it?
2 Do you mean it wont connect to the internet and you don’t know why?

type the name of this virus in google search bar click search and look to see if there is a free download to get rid of the virus…..if the virus is in your harddrive restoring to an earlier date probably wont help…good luck

If you have another computer, you should download Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic from http://www.free-av.com
and then download the latest update kit from: http://dl.antivir.de/down/vdf/ivdf_fusebundle_nt_en.zip
Then, you should copy them to the virused computer, then install AntiVir Personal Edition Classic and, from the menu update from the control center, select manual update and select the update kit you previously copied on the virused computer. then, run a scan and eliminate the viruses

If you have a newer version of windows on use the system restore to go back to when it was running ok…..if everythings good then find a good anti virus program just to be safe…

Besides a complete system restore of HD if you have restore points then do a sysem restore. Start, Assories, System Tool then click on systems restore and click on date before the system started having this trouble,
