How do you turn off the pop up Avast Virus update notification?
it is the most irritating thing isnt it?..I dont know why they have this pop up continuously telling you that your Virus data bank has been updated. besides this Avast has been no problems..why they would add this on there?
How can you turn it off if can?
any help appreciated.

First, this has been on Avast for as long as I can remember – they didn’t just add it.
Second, don’t do what the above answerer suggested – you have to have your antivirus update automatically, or what’s the use in having one… amirite?
NOW to answer your question.
Click on your orange Avast orb and when Avast opens, click on Settings in the upper right corner.
In the left hand column click on Silent / Gaming Mode.
When that opens, tick the box [x] Silent / Gaming Mode. -

i have not used avast for a few years but as far as i remember,
you can turn it off in the settings options.
if you can not find it,
try reading the manual which is downloadable from the avast website.
