How do you help people with a mind virus?
Religion etc get on to the brain and stop it working properly people store lies as facts and then are incapable of reason. The side effects of the virus and brainwashing often make people very ignorant and unable to listen always assuming they are right and the worst cases see things in black and white having a mind stuck in a state of infancy. So is there a Norton for the mind

The only thing that I have ever seen make a difference is applying reason. Sometimes if it is done without judgment, without treating them like idiots, they MAY begin to look at things and apply reason on their own. But there are so many who are terrified to look at things objectively because their religion says they will be damned if they do. Faith does not require reason, proof or even good guesses. It only requires belief, and sometimes believing in things is so much easier than having to figure it out for oneself.
I must say that I have met a few people who have reasoned themselves INTO a religion. I have to respect their beliefs because they worked so hard for them, even if I do not find an ounce of validity in it. -

The process is called deprogramming, takes a long time, expensive, needs special skills, Results are iffy. The specific religion isn’t the issue – its the persons weak mind that allowed it to take a hold in the first pace. You deprogram them then they latch on to some other crutch.
Sad to say but sometimes you just have to walk away.
If you cant walk away from solving their issue, perhaps YOU are the one thats fixated
