How do I get rid of cleanthis Virus?
I have a dell inspiron 1525 and have a virus that is called cleanthis, it keeps saying that I have to buy it in order to do ANYTHING now eg i cannot use Internet explorer, windows task manager, anything that I have read that says it will help because his virus says hat they ARE viruses? Can anyone please help me how to get rid of this? I can’t tell my parents because they will kill ne if I have another virus! Help?

I agree with Mr Genius but would add that you should run the scans with your machine in ‘Safe’ mode.
The simplest way to do this is for you to execute an emergency shutdown (hold the power button in until the machine shuts down) and restart.
You should then be presented with some options, one of which is Start In Safe Mode. Use the up/down arrows to highlight this option then press ‘Enter’.
This will start the machine with only the barest minimum running and it’s in this state you should run the Malwarebytes and AVG programs.

You will probably have to start your machine in safe mode with network support or use msconfig to check your start up programs and only start the essential ones, any weird ones or if cleanthis is shown stop them from starting then,

IF you are running Vista you will probably have to run it as an Administrator
If that does not fix it an excellent program to fix things is Hijack this which you can download from here
http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/
Download the normal version and run it, this will have to be run as an administrator on Vista.
Read the instructions on the Trend Micro web site.
Hijack this will generate a log file which you copy and paste to here

This site then analyses the log file and tells you what is good or bad, it should show you what is running the cleanthis virus.
You leave Hijack this running while you have the log file analysed and then make your selections in Hijack this to kill and delete the offending files to correspond with the analysed log file.
Be careful using Hijack this as it is a powerful program and it can kill and delete windows system files and totally kill your PC thereby needing a full reinstalation of windows.
