How can I remove computer virus “Control Center” for free?

I’ve tried to use avast but the computer goes all weird before it can finish scanning. I’ve used others that have found the virus but it then says I have to register to remove the virus so it’s not free!

download and install trojan remover (fully operating program that is free for 30days)

I’d advise restarting your computer in safe mode with networking and then switching off system restore before doing an in depth scan with the above program.

Well you can remove it manually without paying any cost…..
Steps for manual removal are…
Kill Control Centre virus processes:
cc.exe agent.exe uninstall.exe

Delete registry values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstallControl center
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun “agent.exe”
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogon “Shell” = C:Documents and Settings%UserName%Application DataCCcc.exe”

Get rid of control center virus files:
cc.exe agent.exe uninstall.exe settings.ini guide.html 05.png 06.png 07.png 08.png 09.png 10.png Control center.lnk

Delete control center virus directories:
C:Documents and Settings%UserName%Application DataCC
C:Documents and Settings%UserName%Application DataCCfaq
C:Documents and Settings%UserName%Application DataCCfaqimages
