Do I have a computer virus and how can i fix it?

Recently my laptop has been very slow on start-up and opening programs. Norton says all is fine, but when i ran a virus scan I got a message saying Norton has encountered a problem please visit this website. Also there is a program I don’t recognise – Bonjour- which I can’t remove via the control panel. Please help!

i have that too i think its somethign to do with itunes or with quicktime, do you have one of those?

Bonjour is part of itunes. It comes with itunes, dont worry about it.
You don’t have a virus, just a lot of full up memory.
Delete old things and empty your space up a bit, and your computer will be faster.

Also, if Norton encountered a problem, VISIT THE WEBSITE and see what they FAQ’s say.

Definitely its a virus my friend or actually more than a virus its an adware which causes your computer to slow down go ahead and scan your computer with this free scanner from microsoft then be careful what you download from internet.

Bonjour is something that got installed with Apple software like iTunes.

Norton can be a real resource hog and could be the cause of the slowness. But it could also be a virus.. Try scanning your PC with an online virusscanner like Panda’s activescan or Trend Micro Housecall.

install and run adaware se. get it from file hippo.com.

Bonjour is part of itunes, not a virus.

Adaware should see you ok.

If you are using internet explorer,thats putting a virus on your computer.Hackers have got in and put a virus on the homepage.I think you should find out about viruses and hackers.Hope this helps!

You don’t say whether you have a Mac or a PC running Windows. If it’s a Mac running MacOs X, you don’t have a virus since there aren’t any MacOs X viruses and you don’t need Norton’s which is probably what is slowing your computer down. Bonjour is a Windows or Mac way of quickly communicating with printers and setting them up. It works fine. You can access your networked printers with it, it usually shows up in your browserbookmarks.
